I feel like I should give you all this pick in such a timely manner due to the recent discovery of the passing of legendary Japanese wrestler, Masa Saito. Case and point, the man is so iconic, he will live forever through the name of his angled belly to back suplex named the Saito Suplex. You may know a modification of this as Shawn Michaels’ Teardrop Suplex before Sweet Chin Music was a thing!
In this week’s offering, I want to share with you one of the more iconic WCW offerings, Starrcade 90 – Collision Course! Not only is Masa Saito featured heavily in this event, but here’s 3 things to take away from this wonderful event!
1) It’s the Pat O’Connor Memorial Tournament! It’s a one night international tag team tournament! What’s fun to see is how many wrestlers you can recognize in this tournament!
2) If you’ve never seen Doom, now’s your chance! Ron Simmons and Butch Reed as a tag team was tremendous! Check out them against Barry Windham and Arn Anderson in a Street Fight for the NWA Tag Team Championship!
3) Remember the Black Scorpion? Yup! It comes to a head here in a steel cage as the REAL Black Scorpion challenged NWA World Heavyweight Champion, Sting with the legendary Dick The Bruiser as the special guest referee! If you don’t know who the Black Scorpion is, don’t look it up and try to guess! It’s revealed at the end!
Such a fun event to watch, especially the tag team tournament. You could easily spend your time watching something much worse!

Hot off the heels of the first ever #3CTDraft, I’m taking a look at Big Sexy Jim’s 3rd pick (11th overall), “Made In The U.S.A.” Lex Luger.
In my Pick of the Week this week, take a look at the FULL VIDEO of the events on the USS Intrepid from the July 4th event to slam the mighty Yokozuna as well as TWO FULL HOURS of never before seen footage from the Lex Express! If you remember listening to the Lex Luger episode of the Prichard Show, you’ll see that Bruce wasn’t kidding with the footage that they took.
Watch this, if for no other reason, than to have some relaxing wrestling footage to drift you off to sleep late a night. Or if you were looking to fill some time while handling a work project or cleaning around the house. Just enough entertainment to relax on a day where you need to just veg out. There’s wrestling for every mood, just gotta look for it.
